DP holds follow-up briefing for foreign media after press conference announcing Upper House electoral platform

On June 15, following DP President Katsuya Okada’s press conference announcing The Democratic Party’s Priority Policies: Our Promise to the People, the party’s electoral platform for the Upper House election, International Department Director-General Yukihisa Fujita and Vice Director-General Hiroe Makiyama held a follow-up briefing in English for the foreign media.

After Fujita had given an overall introduction, Makiyama, who had been a member of the DP Special Committee on key policies for the Upper House election explained about the details of the priority policies.  The two carefully answered questions and enhanced the foreign media’s understanding of the DP’s policy platform for the forthcoming election.
