On December 22, DP International Department Director-General Hiroe Makiyama visited the German Embassy in Tokyo to offer condolences for the recent terrorist attack in Berlin.

Makiyama told German Ambassador Dr. Hans Carl Friherr von Werthern, “On behalf of the Democratic Party, I offer our condolences for the victims of the attack, together with our prayers for the swift recovery of those injured.”  She handed over a message of condolence from Party President Renho addressed to German Chancellor Angela Merkel.  The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for these sentiments.  Makiyama then signed the book of condolence at the Embassy.
